Our Core Values
The things that we value, what we love, care about, think about and spend our time doing, are the things that shape and define us. At The Station Church, our values reflect the picture of a follower of Christ that we see in Scripture. We teach, practice, and pursue these values together as a church.
Biblical Authority
God speaks to us through the Bible, and we recognize it as the final authority for our lives. We do not seek to stand on God's Word, we seek to stand under it. We do not filter God's Word through our thoughts and experiences. Rather, we filter our thoughts and experiences through the Bible.
Intimacy With God
God desires an intimate love relationship with each one of us. He took the initiative to send His only Son to make the way for us to have a relationship with Him. It is the very purpose of your life. This relationship should be real and it should be personal.
Gospel Influence
The Gospel is the power for all that we do. The Gospel shapes every aspect of our mission. And the Gospel alone provides the basis for our unity. In all that we do, we seek to remove distractions from the Gospel, making the Gospel as clear and as compelling as possible.
Authentic Community
We grow best when we grow together as part of a worshiping community that has different strengths, gifts, insights, and backgrounds. If we are to grow and be the body of Christ as God has called us to be, then we need one another. (Romans 12:3-5)
Intentional Disciple Making
The final command Jesus gave His disciples was to make disciples, teaching them to observe all that He had commanded. We realize that heaven does not count professions of faith; heaven counts disciples of Jesus. So we are committed to developing and discipling all those God has entrusted to us.
Strategic Service
Calling is not a special experience for a sacred few. It is a basic element of the Christian life. When believers accept Jesus, they accept His call to join Him in His mission. The question, then, is not if our people are sent on mission, but only where and how?
